The ethereal mist rolls in on a windless morning and flows silently through the sprawling vineyards, quietly skimming the surface as it disappears. It sounds idyllic, but the farm which is home to The Cottage really is special.

Constantia Valley is the oldest wine-growing area in Southern Africa and features superb wine estates, fantastic shopping opportunities and a variety of excellent restaurants.

Located at the centre of the Cape Peninsula, the Constantia Valley stretches up the south-east slopes of the Table Mountain National Park.

The area is steeped in history and is home to some of the best examples of Cape Dutch architecture. The largest wine estate, Groot Constantia, is home to Van der Stel’s original manor house museum and is an excellent example of this architectural style.

Only 10 minutes’ drive from Cape Town’s CBD, it’s conveniently located with easy access to some of Cape Town’s most stunning attractions, including its ruggedly beautiful coastlines.
